New & Potential Adopter Class

Have you just adopted a dog? Are you about to adopt a dog? If so, this introductory class is just for you and your family.

We will cover everything to ensure your new pooch settles into his or her new home as quickly as possible, including what you can expect to happen the first time you take your dog home, during the critical first 72 hours and beyond.  

This fun class will equip any new, or potential, adopter with all the information they need to settle their new addition into the family.

All family members welcome (including helpers & kids), but please leave your dog at home for this class!

Course Curriculum:

·       Selecting the right dog for your family

·       Taking your dog home for the first time

·       Introducing your new dog to existing pets

·       Explaining the “rules of the road” to the kids

·       Toilet training

·       Feeding schedule & amounts

·       Exercise schedule

·       Kennel cough

·       Sleeping too much / not enough?

·       Bathing your dog for the first time

·       First vet visit

·       First time off-leash

·       Things you need to buy

Prerequisites: None. Human only please.

Class Size: 12 Max. Please specify number of peson per family when registering.

Course Fee: HK$250 per family – All proceeds go to Hong Kong Dog Rescue.
