Name: Foon Foon (nee Sweetpea)
Breed: Yorkie
Since I adopted Foon Foon (formerly named Sweetpea) in June 08, even though she has alot of problems, heart ....etc, and I have spent alot of money, time........ on her, her cutie face & character makes me happy all the time. I take this opportunity to thank you Sally, you saved her life, as well as Dr Pat Suen who saved her life many times in the past 1.5 years. Hope Foon Foon braves all the times ! Best regards Samantha
Name: Bailey (nee Josh)
Breed: Multibreed
Ryan and Bailey (the dog formerly known as Josh!) are settling in great -they're both such happy dogs and are loving their new home! Whilst I'm sure getting constant tummy rubs, exploring the country side on long walks, sticking their heads out the car window and eating well could be a "tough"adjustment for some, they're having a fine time! They love each other's company, and they'll follow us all over the house to make sure they're always near us. At least half a dozen times a day you'll hear them racing around the house chasing & wrestling each other, before resuming their other favourite activity - doggie napping! Bailey never fails to let his cheeky side shine through, his usual antics include stealing your socks before going for a walk and then running away with Ryan's leash. Ryan then helps ou tby taking the sock and leaves a loving memento by chewing out a hole before returning it! So far they're enjoying all that life has to offer...and they've certainly earned it!

Name: Blackie & Choco
Breed: Springer spaniel
Choco and Blacky have settled in very well with us since we adopted them in June. They are extremely joyful dogs who love running and swimming, and we take them with us on hikes and junk trips whenever possible. Many thanks to HKDR for all your help during the adoption process - we love them to bits! Paloma and Philipp
Name: Ruby and Millie
Breed: Cocker Spaniels
Ruby is Miss Personality - she loves to be with people and is very sociable at parties / and meet and greet! Millie is very timid in the house - but much better when she is out The both love walks, food and chasing cats and are unbelievable scroungers when it comes to my food. Very funny, very cute and very lovable. best Susan
Name: Princess Xian
Breed: Chow Mix
Xian's previous owner took her to the vet to have her put down, and it was with a stroke of luck that she ended up in HKDR. Jackie (current owner) got even luckier, Xian ended up at her home, first as a foster, then permanently!!!! :) Xian is the best thing that has ever happened to Jackie. She is so balanced (a typical Mutt trait), so easy, so sweet, so loving, so willing to please, so resilient, so full of hope, always smiling, so spontaneous, so accommodating, so warm in the winter, so beautiful to look at, so soft to touch, so funny, so greedy, so demanding, and so much more. I can't stress how thankful I am to HKDR, for keeping her when her life turned upside down and really needed a place to stay. I still get a bit sad and mad when I think of her past, but it makes me more the determined to persuade friends to adopt, donate and support HKDR. I think Xian really saved me. She has given me so much more than I have given her, and it's only because of her, that I go to bed and waking up happy everyday. Advice to fellow humans: Open your heart and front door, adopt a dog into your home. I promise you, life will never be the same again, it will be filled with so much love and joy. Jackie
